change copyright text from any wordpress theme premium or free using notepad++
Is there any editing work around where code editing of inside of an script is needed to be edited?then notepad++ is the promising tool.i think its fair to say im the only one who uses notepad for this type of work.but believe me when i say,it makes working with code a whole lot easier.its most useful feature is the find tool, which can be used to look for a specific code inside a folder of php coded files.I said before that a post featuring how to use this free but wonderful software to edit codes like a pro is coming soon. Here it is now.
We will now tackle the problem of editing a specific part of a wordpress theme. There are many wordpress themes that are free but the creator holds some part of the theme to be used as his advert. We don't mind that, but sometime we need to occupy these space for our selves.Take a look at the screen shot below
The theme is great and free, but when you see the next two picture you will see that the creator has used some space which could be beautifully used for some words of introduction of my website.
The wordpress dashboard does not offer any widget or option where I can edit these sentence, and the theme maker is saying I could buy theme and remove them.
But I cant buy,so I use notepad++.
First I download the theme and unzip it.
Then take any php file, here footer.php as it may contain the footer info I want to change. Right click and select edit with notepad++. The theme has codes I cant decode! Then I copy the text I need to change from the theme ,click search>find in files, select the theme folder as search area, and paste the text. Finally click search. It will start searching Yes,there is a match in function.php! Lets open it up I again search but in this file only. The code containing the text comes visible.I edit that to my text. Next to the copyright footer text, I just select portion of the full text now and search the folder again Yes on one php there is a match.Editing it will make the theme suited to my words of choice.
Now you've seen how to use notepad++ to change copyright text from any wordpress theme premium or free both. This idea can be used for many changes too.

8 usefull tools for maintaining a great freelancing streak
there are a lot of different types of freelancing works.most of them need some specific knowledge of software or script workings.as we have categorized the types of freelance works, now we proceed to the tools that we need to fulfill these works.every job may need tools or software that are out of our discussion capability, but we can learn to use some that come in handy in almost every online works.you may find that some works that you thought difficult are, actually real easy ones.lets dig in.
1.webhost:there are debates about which is the easiest freelancing work.although many comes to mind, website script installing is a type of job every freelancer wants to bag.why is that?its simple to install, but the outcome is rich and powerful.cms, blog, forum, wiki, lms and every other website may be power started using corresponding webscript.but there has to be a webhost to learn how to install these scripts, before you take down work for installing scripts in a client server.so everyone at first need to practice installing for themselves at a real webhost.there are a lot of freewebhost out there which are sufficient enough to try and learn installing scripts.they come with control panel, mysql data base, email and even pretty moderate file size limited file manager.ill post a new article featuring some of the free webhost out there.
2.xampp:if anyone cant find good free host for some script, they can use xampp for windows to try that on their local machine.
the guidelines are pretty straight forward.and you can use it without internet connection.the home pc works as the server in this case.
3.notepad++:is there any editing work around where code editing of inside of an script is needed to be edited?then notepad++ is the promising tool.i think its fair to say im the only one who uses notepad for this type of work.but believe me when i say,it makes working with code a whole lot easier.its most useful feature is the find tool, which can be used to look for a specific code inside a folder of php coded files.a post featuring how to use this free but wonderful sofware to edit codes like a pro is coming soon.
4.rapidleech:
its a popular script for downloading files from various filehosts.there are a lot of variants of this script too.why is this needed for freelancing?in one word:backup.the most ignored feature of rapidleech is that it can upload files to a lot of filehosts in lightening fast time, depending on the speed of the server.it can even email the files.using rapidleech, one can restore and backup big sized websites within minutes.and without downloading anything to the pc ever!where it could take one hour, rapidleech does it in 10 minutes.a post detailing how to use rapidleech to backup and restore websites is coming.
5.photoshop:ps is needed for logo and banner making.but another use of ps is to slice pdf templates into wordress templates.

we will use photoshop with a plugin called divine project to do this in a later article.
6pixlr:this tool is a personal favourite of mine.it is a online photo editor, best for making quick edit or making simple logo or banner, without using the expensive photoshop.its totally online, and does not load much on your computer.and as its a online tool, one can use it anywhere.a simple logo making will be shown later.
6.gmail:
you must have an email account to have your presence in the freelancesphere, and use gmail for that.it has great use for labels to organize, and to save backups of your works.its the most safe place, safer than other filehosts.also, there is a trick where you can use google drive, gmail and calender to get auto update of emails as sms, free!google this now.
7.bulk category and direct install:this is a wordpress plugin.it can be used to create a whole lot of category at once.a simple plugin makes the making of menus really easy.another plugin is direct install.if you have a direct download link for a theme or plugin, this tool can be used to directly install them without downloading to pc and uploding again.
8.simplescript and installatron:this two online script insaller may be used to install scripts on any webhost.they just require some info and installs them really quick.my personal pick is the later one, because it works even on very slow free hosts too.
